If at all anyone cares to read...

Please don't let the title make you feel as if I am frustrated...it's just that I am alone, lonesome...not at all feeling like reading anything... I just finished three of Dan Brown's novels...Deception Point (2000), Angels and Demons (2001) and the celebrated Da Vinci Code (2003)...though I am pretty sure the years in the bracket are pretty messed up, still... I found the last one, i.e., the celebrated novel too hyped...at least the climax was anything but gripping...save climax rest of the novel is good, readable and palatable at that!

the other day...

I was walking down the road...and wondered why do people only walk "down the road"? I wondered at length but never at breadth...I donno!

An Intro

K. K. Mehra and Shreerang Godbole are indirectly responsible for initiating me into blogging; for any atrocities that I perform on my readers, only they are to be blamed! This blog would be updated every now and then, coz this is the intro and no intro is ever complete.

The Tragedy!

This is a short play that I wrote long ago...publishing this for ur reviews... This, a drama on paper, is meant to leave a memory of the history. This is an effort to reconstruct history in a new and special way; the Anshumannian way. Introduction: Judas was a disciple of Jesus who is said to have betrayed him for 30 silver shillings. Judas went to the Romans and told them the place of hiding of Jesus. Ultimately, Jesus was crucified and became Jesus Christ. But a strange thing happened after his crucification. Judas, the so-called ‘betrayer’, committed suicide after the crucification. Why? History, as usual, tells us that it was out of a sense of guilt. But, is that a genuine cause for Judas’ committing suicide? Find out… The play begins “Judas! Judas!” someone was knocking at the door. It was nearly one o’clock in the night, but Judas was not sleeping. In fact, he had tried hard to go to sleep, but failed. Something prevented him from sleeping that very night. He could easily recogn...

Participation

This is a frustrated Anshuman for u...I wrote this in my second year at kgp... “ Participation matters; winning is just a matter of luck! ” This is a cliché or a very commonly used phrase. You must have, and I am sure of it, heard it in almost every event. Whenever the “judge” is requested to announce the names of the winners, he, inadvertently, quotes this phrase and how can you forget those innumerable quizmasters who always seem to be obsessed with this cliché…it appears to me that they are actually thanking those participants who wasted their time just sitting through the quiz while his inaudible and illogical questions just passed over their heads. Well, I have always participated in every single soc-n-cult event that I have ever come across in my second year. Be it JAM (which I had never heard of before and actually mistook it for a quiz on Jamshedpur!) or Dumb Charade (which my imagination told me was actually “Dumb Shell Art”!!), I participated…and I lost. Well I can’t say I lo...
